Avoid
the Roadblocks
They simply will not understand
how you can leverage your athletic experiences on the job.
They have very little interest in sports, or your athletic
accomplishments. Do not spend a lot of time with these people,
it will either depress you, or get you angry - either way,
it’s not a good use of your time. You want to get connected
as early

as possible to people who believe in your potential off
the field, simply by the virtue that since you made it
to the top of your game in professional sports, they know
that if you can harness that same work ethic, team skills,
and smarts to win on the field, you can be a major player
with them, in their industry too.
