Junior Achievement,
Inc.
(website: www.ja.org)
From rural America to large cities,
Junior Achievement programs reach across the United States. Junior
Achievement
is passionate
people inspiring kids to learn the economics of life through
free enterprise education. JA enables caring business professionals
to share their experience with students to show them what it
takes to be successful. After all, kids are our future. We are
a growing number of volunteers, educators, parents, and contributors
who reach out to 4 million students each year, in grades K-12.
Together, we believe there's a lot that's right with today's
kids. Kids crave opportunity. Kids want to be successful. And
kids dream big about the future. Really big. We like that.
Throughout
JA's sequential and integrated kindergarten through grade 12
programs, students use information, apply basic skills, think
critically, and solve complex problems. They raise their awareness
of the consequences of life choices, and learn skills in business
ethics, digital citizenship, and have opportunities to job shadow
professionals at work.
There are a number of ways to get involved
with Junior Achievement: You can volunteer in a classroom or
for a special event, make a donation or pledge, or come work
for us on staff. With operations in more than 200 cities across
America (including our satellite offices), there are plenty of
opportunities for you to help.
Volunteers: Embody the heart of
Junior Achievement. Taking a message of opportunity and economic
understanding to a classroom in your community, no matter what
your profession, is JA in action.
Contribute: Does impacting the
youth of today by teaching them business and economics interest
you? JA Inc. develops all curricula and provides program support
to local JA offices all around the country. We need financial
supporters who are passionate about ensuring that students learn
about the free enterprise system. Please pledge your support
now and impact the life of a child.
If you've never been involved
with JA, now is your chance. The impact could last a lifetime!
